The Master of Competitors formally shortened KOF, is a sequence of battling activities by SNK Playmore (formerly SNK). The sequence was initially developed for SNK's Neo Geo MVS video arcade components, which provided as the main foundation for the sequence until 2004, when SNK outdated the MVS in support of the Atomiswave video arcade board. The first activity in the sequence, The Master of Competitors '94, was launched by SNK on Aug 25, 1994. The experience presented figures from SNK's past battling activity sequence Critical Rage and Art of Fighting, as well as unique figures (including figures from older activities such as Ikari Fighters and Psychological Knight, tailored for a compared to battling game). The success of the adventure led SNK to launch annually payments of the sequence and designated the activities for the season they were launched. Instead, the adventure was marketed as a "Dream Match" activity that permitted gamers to choose most of the figures available from the past headings, such as ones that were apparently deceased.
